After growing up in Illinois and spending a lot of time in the north side of Chicago, Jan decided to follow her family out to Scottsdale and embark on a second career. Jan came to Taglio right out of cosmetology school and entered our apprentice program. She has attended classes at Bumble & Bumble in NYC, gone through advanced haircutting workshops with Aveda and been through several Kerastase technical and business seminars. She enjoys working on all hair types and men’s cuts too. She does a great job cutting and styling ethnic, Afro texture hair.  She also enjoys all mens cuts too.  Her inspiration comes from her teammates and art. Jan was drawn to the salon industry because she loves working with people and wanted a career with endless possibilities.

Always a lover of art and having creative aspirations, Jan’s first career choice was an art teacher and artist. She enjoys spending lots of time with hubby Dan. Hiking, swimming, going to Eli’s and faithfully watching the Cubbies are some of the activities you will find them doing in their down time. One thing Jan would like you to know is even though this is her second career she feels like she’s never had a real job because she loves people and loves doing hair!
